Features:

• Self feed: This permits the tap to act as its own lead screw, allowing even inexperienced operators to produce gage perfect threads.
• Pre-selective torque drive: An ultra-sensitive adjustable clutch transmits machine power to the tap. Should the tap become dull, loaded with chips or bottomed in a blind hole, the rotational torque is automatically released, and the tap stops instantly to prevent tap breakage. This clutch design is intended as a safety device only.
• 1.75 x 1 reverse ratio: Permits the tap to retract from tapped hole 75 percent faster than it entered, which greatly increases production.
• Standard right hand tapping:Units can be modified for left hand tapping on special order at 5 percent higher rate.
• Re-entry cushion: A cushioned drive eliminates cross threading. It is possible to re-enter the same hole as many times as necessary and still maintain a gage perfect thread.
