| Without mounting hole. 80-degree diamond inserts, negative rake. Precision ground on all surfaces. Available in two grades, CC-10 and CC-20.
CC-10 is a hot isostatically pressed alumina material mainly applicable for roughing and finishing cast iron and steel in higher surface speed operations. Please note that this white ceramic is not cold-pressed as others are. This new process produces inserts that are finer grained, denser, harder, have higher transverse rupture and impact strengths, are less apt to chip or crack under mechanical or thermal shock and excel in wear and crater resistance.
CC-20 is a standard black ceramic. It is a composite with an alumina matrix containing titanium carbide with excellent wear, crater and strength characteristics. |
