It's equipped with a patented magnetic measuring system. Entirely Swiss made, the new Dura-Cal features high mechanical precision. This includes measuring jaws made of stainless steel that are hardened and ground. The caliper also has a protected magnetic scale, coated with resistant film, which promotes high reliability under extreme conditions.

Specifications are consistent with DIN 862. Caliper is IP65 compliant which means it's 100 percent liquid resistant and able to protect against the penetration of dust.

Other features are a large 1/4-inch liquid crystal display for easy readings; auto shutoff after two hours; instant inch/metric conversion; and approximately 1.5 years battery life.
