| Grade 2 metric. Made of fully seasonal alloy tool steel with a Rockwell hardness of 65, providing both long wear and resistance to stains and rust. These blocks are manufactured under carefully controlled conditions, allowing for the highest degree of accuracy when used at temperatures of 68 degrees F (20 degrees C).
Sets are calibrated to meet or exceed federal specifications GGG-G-15a. Includes fitted case.
The 88-piece set contains:
- One block, 1.0005
- Nine blocks, .1001 to .1009, in .001 mm steps
- 49 blocks, 1.01 to 1.49, in .01 mm steps
- 19 blocks, .0.5 to 9.5, in 0.5 mm steps
- 10 blocks, 10 to 100, in 10 mm steps
Tolerances are as follows (metric DIN standard listed first; microns, Grade 2, in parentheses):
- 1.0005 block, <10 mm (+/-40 microns);
- .001 step blocks, <10-25 mm (+/-60 microns);
- .01 step blocks, <25-50 mm (+/-80 microns);
- 0.5 mm step blocks, <50-75 mm (+/-1.00 microns)
- 10 mm step blocks, <75-100 mm (+/-1.20 microns)
