- Series 449 gages with non-rotating, blade-type rods, approximately .045 inch thick by 1/8 inch wide.
By holding the base in one hand, the blade can be turned and positioned at any angle relative to the base. The blade does not turn, but moves perpendicularly only, permitting depth measurement of narrow shoulders without the blade rolling off. Great for slots and recesses as narrow as .045 inch.

- Furnished with a 2.5- or 4-inch base and three or six rods for measuring 0 to 3 or 0 to 6 inches in thousandths of an inch
- Micrometer screw is precision ground and has a 1-inch movement
