| Tennsmith's SR48 initial pinch slip roll is a heavy-duty production tool for forming curved parts and tubes in 16-gauge and lighter sheet metal. The rolls are turned, ground and polished high carbon steel, providing the rigidity and resistance to wear and abrasion.
The rolls and gears are mounted in hardened bronze bushings for long life and precision operation. All three rolls are gear-driven. The gearing features a 4-to-1 reduction ratio for ease of operation in heavy materials.
Convenient operating features include large roll adjusting screws; scales for speeding up repeat setup; a wide clearance top roll latch; and an end mounted handle to lift the upper roll for easy material removal.
Two crank handles are provided for heavy capacity forming. Wire grooves and three full-length starting grooves in the rear roll are standard. Optional stand is available (order no. 2808-0070). |
